Administration Condemns 'Democrat Hoax' as Additional Epstein Estate Photographs Disclosed
House Democrats have released a new tranche of what they termed "disturbing" photographs from the property of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, featuring among others Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and former British royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The first release of 19 photographs—some of which have been previously circulated—combined with another 70 issued later on Friday constitute a tiny fraction of the nearly 100,000 images released to the House oversight committee, which is looking into the actions and ties of Epstein.
The disgraced financier was a victim of an apparent self-inflicted death in a New York detention cell in 2019 after being accused of sex-trafficking offenses.
Prominent Personalities in the Photos
Among the prominent personalities visible in the initial batch are well-known figures such as film director Woody Allen; Microsoft creator Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, creator of the Virgin conglomerate.
Donald Trump is featured in three of the initial 19 images. In one, he is seen with six women, whose faces are obscured.
Administration Statement
The White House reacted to the release in a official comment, charging Democrats of purposefully "hand-picking" the pictures for partisan aims and to "seek to establish a false storyline."
"That partisan falsehood against President Trump has been consistently disproven," an administration official remarked, maintaining that "this presidency has achieved more for Epstein's victims than Democrats have ever done by consistently demanding openness, releasing numerous documents of documents, and urging further investigations into Epstein's liberal connections."
Panel Member Comment
The photos were disclosed devoid of explanation, but according to a Democratic representative from California and senior member of the oversight committee, they elicit additional doubts about Epstein's links with affluent people.
"Now is the occasion to halt this White House obfuscation and deliver justice to the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and his influential associates," he stated in a release.
The release of these documents comes as the oversight committee proceeding with its probe into the Epstein matter.
