Ex- Doctor Charged with Sexual Assault Charges Against 38 Individuals in His Care
Prosecutors report that a ex- doctor now faces charges for carrying out sexual assaults involving thirty-eight victims who were patients.
Details of the Grave Allegations
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of dozens of sexual offences – some of which involve some against minors under the age of thirteen – between 2017 and 2021.
A deputy chief CPS official stated, “Legal teams have diligently worked to assist a detailed and complex police inquiry, meticulously examining the available evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
Scope of the Police Inquiry
The charges follow what investigators described as a “complex investigation” into alleged assaults at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and Russells Hall hospital.
Spencer will appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on 20 January.

The charging documents outline the 45 sexual offences include:
- 15 counts of assault.
- Seventeen counts of assault by penetration.
- Nine counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- Three counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- One count of attempted penetrative assault.
